With most foreigners buying in Beylikduzu, its important to tread carefully. The district is currently undergoing a boom in construction projects, and this worries local Turkish investors – is it sustainable? Whilst some part of Beylikduzu are desirable, other parts are less so, and hence it is important for foreigners to tour the region with experienced intermediaries. Due to this over construction, supply currently outstrips demand, and some developers offer huge commissions to agents to sell their apartments to foreigners – meaning this is passed on to the buyer. Beylikduzu has shown impressive gains in the last 10 years, yet it remains to be seen if this is sustainable. Whilst the region provides a fantastic lifestyle to its residents, the main motivation of buying here should not be one of investment.
